You will not find your identity in things/people. What happens when those things break and those people walk away? Your identity goes with it because your identity was never based on TRUTH.... the things of this world will perish, but God's truth concerning you lives forever. Learn who you are in Christ so when something happens (to your things/relationships) it will be just a situation instead of a crisis.
A crisis causes us to panic because we feel like it can't be resolved. As long as you have life in your body, you can get through it. You might not like it, but you can do it.
